The Revolving Door between Government and Industry |
Oh boy, we will be hearing about this one from the lefty bloggers.
GOP Rep. Billy Tauzin, the chief architect of the recent Medicare prescription drug bill, which critics (me included) say was basically just a big handout to drug companies (it didn't negotiate bulk discounts, it doesn't allow reimportation, etc.) has now taken a $2m-a-year job as the head lobbyist for the pharmaceutical industry.
If this doesn't confirm that the pharma companies were thrilled with the law, I don't know what does.
