Today in Africa 6,300 people will die of AIDS.
An additional 8,500 will become infected with HIV.
Think of the tragedy... that is like two 9/11s, and it happens every single day.

I remember cheering during Bush's 2003 State of the Union, when he asked Congress to commit $15 billion to the fight against AIDS in Africa. Unfortunately, that seems to be all talk so far. In Feb 2004 just $350 million was released.
This is something we all should commit to. Support organizations fighting AIDS.
