What's the Matter with Kansas

I haven't finished the book yet, but the discussion over at MyDD on What's the Matter with Kansas is an interesting read to help us understand the ideological shift that happened in the red states that led to the current political situation, where cultural differences rather than economic ones separate the elite, (because they drink lattes, eat veggie burgers, etc.) from working class people.
